About the Facility
The home of Always Helpful Veterinary Services is Fincastle Farm, in beautiful Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The property is graced by an elegant brick Federal farm house, circa 1857, and two grand 100 year old timber frame barns. The bottom level of the lower barn has been renovated to house the practice.
The views are postcard-perfect of the organically maintained pastures and hay field, a quiet pond, and woods that adjoin a local park. Well-managed crop fields and cow pastures surround the property, creating a peaceful environment for the research/teaching horses and visiting patients. Our home includes climate controlled facilities for a limited number of in-house therapy patients, a 100 x 200 foot arena and multiple paddocks for individual turnout with automatic waterers and medicinal herb patches.
Future plans include the rebuilding of the upper barn with its mezzanine third-floor and cathedral ceilings to accommodate the expanding small animal practice, the educational facility, and additional offices for our therapists.
The renovation is nearly complete, and we have moved the practice to the lower barn. The process has been exciting, and we look forward to sharing the comfort and beauty of our new home.
